As a general education teacher, I’ve always done my best to support students with IEPs, but tracking their progress never felt clear. IEP goals are often written in a way that makes it difficult to measure progress in a general ed classroom. When a goal says a student will succeed in “4 out of 5 trials,” I never knew which ones to count. And when it required 80% accuracy, I was left wondering—over what time frame? Across which activities?
