why schools trust us

Dr. Christopher Graves, K-8 Principal
SymplifyEd has given a big boost to our school! They helped us build a sustainable system for assessment mapping and progress tracking in K-5, and the best part? Our teachers LOVED it. Teacher buy-in is everything when it comes to new initiatives, and SymplifyEd really nailed that—they made the process clear, practical, and actually useful in the classroom. Their approach took the stress out of data tracking and turned it into something that truly supports teaching and learning. If you're looking for a partner that understands schools, teachers, and how to make standards-aligned assessment usage work for you, SymplifyEd is the way to go!

Jasmine Hui, New Teacher
As a new teacher, I found it overwhelming to navigate what seemed like hundreds of standards I needed to cover with my students. Thanks to the Academic Portfolio and Shared Grade Book, I was able to streamline my focus onto the essential standards. The Customized Assessments they've created not only break down each concept for students but also provides a simplified yet challenging approach, which has been invaluable in fostering higher-order thinking skills. This aspect has particularly aided me as a new teacher, enabling me to guide students effectively while also ensuring clarity for parents regarding expectations.

Elizabeth Lancaster, Literacy Coach + Teacher
As a veteran teacher of 20+ years, teaching writing has always been my biggest struggle. SymplifyED has made it easier to ensure that my students are meeting the standards. In my school, Jenelle has worked with veteran teachers and new teachers to support our writing instruction. She has created an easy way to track all students' growth based on the standards. Not only does she help us to create assessments and rubrics that are standards-based and student-friendly, but she also coaches teachers to ensure that all students' needs are met by creating individual student goals if needed. Through her coaching, our students' writing has improved tremendously this year.

Roya Cruz, 4th Grade Teacher
I love the way the Academic Portfolio and Shared Grade Book have helped students learn more deeply and retain information over multiple grades (and between multiple teachers)! I have taught 4th grade for 7 years, and our current class has achieved more standards’ mastery than ever before. This is due to the fact that our students’ 3rd grade teachers were able to develop deep understanding by utilizing these tools, which then allowed our 4th grade team to use these same resources to build a strong foundation for 5th grade. I’m so excited to see what the next year brings. Bye, summer slide!

Katherine Hagiperos, Special Education Teacher
As a special education teacher, I can’t speak highly enough about SymplifyEd’s Common Assessments and standards-aligned Shared Grade Book. When writing IEPs and creating goals, I am able to ensure that they are targeted to students’ levels based on the common assessments and aligned with essential standards that all students are working on. I’ve been able to see more academic growth and grade-level mastery (and confidence!) for students on my caseload across grade levels this year than I have in years past. As a co-teacher, the grade book makes assessing and grading so streamlined. We are able to know right away which students need reteaching and which students have mastered a skill. I appreciate how detailed and streamlined SymplifyEd’s system is, and I’m so excited to continue celebrating student growth and success!

Nicki Malek, 5th Grade Teacher
As a teacher of 16 years, I love the direct formative assessments towards the standard, and then the documentation that it entails in the Shared Grade Book. It is very clear and focused! Using these assessments for our volume unit, it became very clear that our students mastered the volume standards a lot sooner than we had originally planned for. Therefore, we were able to utilize and build on the standard in order to take the concept deeper.

Stephanie Lazar, 3rd Grade Teacher
The SymplifyEd platform provides wonderful resources that are teacher and student friendly. It encourages students to be accountable for their learning and gives them the opportunity to track their success. The curriculum provided is streamlined for students to begin with simple concepts that continue to become rigorous. The grade book provided helps teachers track data that gives teachers the opportunity to identify students who need more support and those who have mastered the concept. These resources are great at helping teachers and students deepen their understanding!

Christie Corbisiero, 4th Grade Teacher
After 20 years of teaching, we finally have tools that work! The Academic Portfolio & Shared Grade Book has changed how our scholars, parents, and teachers view progress throughout the year. The platform helps students set meaningful, personal academic goals and opens communication for students, parents, and teachers. There are many more advantages, but these two benefits alone have convinced our team to use nothing but the best. Thank you SymplifyEd for your meaningful innovations!

Debra Chappell, 5th Grade Teacher
I was just recently introduced to this exciting way to access and quickly review and record my students’ proficiency with each of the required standards. I pulled my students together in small groups to review, reteach, and reassess any part of the standards they did not get a proficient score on. As a whole, they felt more successful too. This assessment tool has short exit ticket-like quizzes that zero in on the required standards, so I could just work on reviewing those small portions instead of the entire unit. I normally do this type of review anyway, but I have to stop, review my quizzes, reteach, and then create new assessments. This has already been done for me. It saved me so much time. I can’t wait to use this program in future units of study. Lastly, the data that I recorded in their clearly laid out spreadsheets will make it 100% easier to complete our standards-based report cards. Everything I need to report is on the spreadsheet.

Lauren Ronan, Parent
The SymplifyEd teachers conducted a student-led conference with a clear and detailed academic portfolio, surpassing traditional report cards. It included academic and social-emotional goals tailored to my child, resulting in significant growth and increased responsibility. It was one of the best conferences I've attended, and I trust these teachers wholeheartedly.

Katie Lee, Parent
As a parent, I can't praise SymplifyEd enough. Their academic portfolio goes beyond the traditional report card, providing a deeper understanding of our child's performance. It's like having a clear roadmap to mastery—a path that ensures our little ones thrive academically. But here's the real magic: it empowers students by giving them better context and direction, allowing them to make meaningful progress they can feel proud about. The traditional report card doesn’t provide students an opportunity to be involved in their progress. When my child used SymplifyEd’s academic portfolio, she was able to play a key role in her academic growth. She kept track of her progress and knew precisely where she needed to focus for growth.
